Remind me never to work in groups. The pieces of anything with more than one always come in slowly and in a completely useless order, meaning that nothing can be done until all parties are assembled. Oh, well.

The speakers for my computer came today, and in their own gigantimous box. I did not realize that the default speakers for this computer were 5.1 surround sound with a woofer at least 18 inches across plus a nifty control panel and remote. The woofer is so big that it has a warning on it stating it should not be placed within 2 feet of any other electronic device (like, oh, the tower or monitor, etc). The sound system is SO much more than I expected, I've been goggling over it all afternoon.

This morning our entire family got CPR, first aid and AED certified. It was interesting. I can help y'all out now.

So. Much. Sound system. I haven't set it up or anything because a) it would be pointless at the moment and b) I haven't decided if I should even bother before going back to school. All I have to say right now is thank God for single rooms. I'm so excited about all this mess. It's really sort of sad.

Oooh, and I'm really excited about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I definitely want to go see it, and I've heard nothing but excellent reports. Also, HARRY POTTER. Our copy will arrive in the mail tomorrow, which is fine; I can wait. I'm not rabid, but I will read it. But all the rest of you MUST PROMISE: NO SPOILERS. I will not have them, and I will be terribly upset with you if you let them slip. Nick gets to read it first, but he leaves for Philmont on Tuesday, so if he's not done by then it will turn over to me. Sweet.

MONKEY! Is this coach business you mentioned true? I am hyper-excited if it is. This year is going to rock hardcore.
